A non-anxious presence

Through ancient history until today, this defining characteristic can be detected in the lives of the most influential people who have ever lived. From Dr. King, Gandhi, Jesus, to Santa Teresa, RBG, and Aung San Suu Kyi, it is immediately felt and contagious. Piles of research suggest it is perhaps the most important ingredient in leading a change effort: to live from a non-anxious presence.

Your story is worth sharing

Every person has a unique story. However similar, no two will ever be the same. In this keynote I share my own, from being raised in a 97 percent white community, to graduating from the most ethnically diverse university in the US. Working in corporate for a decade, burning out, and designing a lighter life. I discuss how leaders might share their own unique story to invite empathy and creativity.

The origins of creativity

What if I told you that the word creativity didn’t exist in the world until the 1850s? Our capitalistic approach to creativity stems from the Greeks more than 2000 years ago. Our lack of awareness around older influences comes at a significant cost—negatively influencing our care for each other and the planet. How did we get here, and what can be done about it?
